The Bottom Line:

The bottom line is that the Ravens offensive woes are not mysterious. They should have known that this was coming. The offense is unequivocally the Ravens number one problem. Remember the Ravens had a chance at the end of regulation to beat the Bears. They couldn’t get the job done. The Ravens had a chance to beat the Bears in overtime. They couldn’t get the job done. The offense has crippled the team and hindered a promising defense.

The Ravens have drafted defense much more than they have drafted offense. If it wasn’t for Ronnie Stanley, the recent draft classes would have done absolutely nothing for this offense. The Ravens have no stars. Not only has Ozzie Newsome neglected the offense, but he has gotten it wrong when he has few tries to help it. Breshad Perriman is a bust. The Ravens haven’t had a number one receiver…ever. They haven’t had a player like Antonio Brown, Odell Beckham Jr., or Julio Jones. I didn’t even mention the situation they got themselves into with the Joe Flacco contract.

From top to bottom the organization brought dysfunction to the offense. Steve Bisciotti allowed John Harbaugh to keep an offensive coordinator that wasn’t getting the job done. Ozzie Newsome didn’t provide enough talent around Joe Flacco. How they thought investing in a quarterback but no weapons for that quarterback was a good idea, is beyond me. The Ravens get what they asked for.
