1. Could this be a turning point in the season?

This season sound familiar? That’s because the Ravens were in almost the exact same situation last season. They were 4-4 through nine weeks and in the thick of the AFC playoff race. It took an impressive 21-14 win over the Steelers to turn their season around and that’s exactly what last night felt like.

The Ravens didn’t just beat the Dolphins, they won in convincing fashion. You rarely see a team put up 40 points, let alone shut out the opposition in the same game. Sure it was against a pretty terrible backup quarterback in Matt Moore, but it’s not like the Ravens get to choose who they play against. They’ve been lucky enough to come up against a rookie or backup quarterback in the past four games.

The Ravens were also without their starting quarterback for most of the game and still dominated. I think John Harbaugh has found his recipe for success. It’s relying on the run game and a stout defensive performance. That’s exactly what we saw last night and look what happened.

This game could very well be another fluke, but if the Ravens continue to play like they did Thursday night, they’re going to win some games the rest of the season.
