Eric Decker

It’s easy to forget how productive Eric Decker has been throughout his career since suffering a back injury in the 2016 season.

Now with the Tennessee Titans, Decker looks like a shell of his former self. It doesn’t help that the Titans are a run-heavy team, as they should be with guys like DeMarco Murray and Derrick Henry in the backfield. Maybe getting Decker into a new uniform could reignite the flames of this red-zone monster.

Decker’s claim to fame has been his ability to dominate the red-zone. Decker has 52 career touchdowns in just over six seasons. When Decker is locked in with his quarterback, he is unstoppable. I mean, the guy had 12 touchdowns in 15 games in 2015 with Ryan Fitzpatrick at quarterback… and that was with the Jets. The Jets!

That obviously doesn’t mean that Decker is going to come to Baltimore and catch 10+ touchdowns, but Decker is yet another missing aspect of this offense. There isn’t a single player at any skill position that is a dominant red-zone factor in Baltimore, and Decker can immediately become that.

Thus far, Decker has under-performed with the Titans, so perhaps the Ravens can snag him for cheap. If they can, Decker could be the missing link to Flacco’s struggles and help this offense pick up touchdowns more consistently.
