2. Terrell Suggs vs. Taylor Lewan

With Marcus Mariota’s health a concern this season, the Titans No. 1 priority is keeping him upright. They’ll rely on left tackle Taylor Lewan to protect Mariota’s blind side against the Ravens pass rush. He’ll have his hands full against one of the most feared pass rushers in the NFL with Terrell Suggs. It’s going to be a fantastic matchup that I will be looking forward to watching.

Solid left tackles are a rare commodity in the NFL and Lewan is one of them. The former 2014 first round pick out of Michigan has been a consistent starter the past two seasons and is coming off a Pro Bowl last year. He’s as emotional as it comes on the field, but it pays in dividends with his fantastic play.

Suggs is the ageless wonder that continues to produce in the NFL. Heading into this year, it looked like it could be the curtain call for his career, but it’s been anything but that. Suggs leads the defense in sacks with 4.5 sacks and looks the best we’ve seen him in the last couple years. He’s healthy, slimmed down and is still getting to the quarterback. It won’t be an easy task getting to Mariota on Sunday, but Suggs has the upper hand.

We know the kind of player Suggs is and he loves to run his mouth. He’s cocky and has the career stats to back it up. Don’t be surprised to see him and Lewan pushing and shoving after the whistle is blown. The referees will need to keep a close eye on this matchup all game long to make sure it doesn’t get out of hand.
