The Baltimore Ravens are about to take on the Tennessee Titans. This battle on the road will be critical in the push towards the playoffs:

  • The Baltimore Ravens are at 4-4 coming into this game. The Titans are at 4-3. This game could have huge implications late in the season, if both teams are vying for a wild card spot.
  • Tennessee was once the Ravens biggest rival. Before the divisions were realigned the Ravens and the Titans were tough hitting classics much like Ravens vs. Steelers is now.
  • In this back and forth series, the Ravens lead 11-10. The Ravens are 2-1 against the Titans in the playoffs and both of those wins came in Tennessee.
  • The Ravens are averaging 126.9 yards per game on the ground which ranks seventh best. The Titans pick up 124.6 rushing yards per game which ranks ninth. The running backs and offensive linemen will determine the outcome.
  • Marcus Mariota is doing a lot of good things. He has a healthy completion percentage and he’s had some big games. That being said, he has only thrown four touchdowns and four interceptions.
  • Alex Collins is coming off a huge game, the Ravens need to keep feeding him the football.

Key Stats:

  • Neither team is all that advanced at getting the ball in the end zone. The Ravens have scored a total of 18 touchdowns this season. The Titans have scored 14.
  • Turnovers could be a huge difference in this game. The Ravens are +5 in the turnover department, where the Titans have just broke even.
  • DeMarco Murray and Derrick Henry may be the best backfield combination in the NFL. Murray has 372 yards while Henry has picked up 331.
  • The Ravens lead the league in interceptions with 12. The pass defense has been stellar. If the Ravens make the Titans one dimensional they will win.
  • Sam Koch has punted 44 times this season. That is 11 more times than Brett Kern has punted for the Titans.
  •  The Ravens defense ranks eighth in points allowed per game.
