3. Haloti Ngata

You may be thinking how can Haloti Ngata be an under the radar free agent? Well it’s because this is the 32-year-old version of Ngata and it could cost the Ravens next to nothing. This would be fun for the Ravens Flock, because everybody in Baltimore already loves number 92. Ngata was one of the greatest Ravens ever and it would be a warming sight to see him end his career wearing purple and black. This would be a good signing for emotional reasons, but there is logic behind it as well.

Ngata is a run stuffing defensive tackle but I don’t think there will be a long line of suitors for Ngata in the free agent market. Think about it; he’s on the wrong side of 30 and he isn’t much of a pass rusher. Well, do you remember what happened when Brandon Williams went down? Having a player like Ngata to rotate in and out of the game would behoove Williams. It’s not just a feel good signing that allows a Ravens legend to go out in Baltimore but a move that helps the Ravens.

The key here is cost. If it doesn’t cost the Ravens much, I’m okay with it. If it cost a lot more than the veteran minimum, the Ravens can live without Ngata’s return. At the right price, Ngata could be a good pick up. Justin Tucker certainly would get some help with his Royal Farms commercials.
