Brandon Deffet picks for the Packers:

14. player. 49. Aaron Rodgers has been carrying the Packers for a while. His defenses during this time have been borderline atrocious. While Rodgers can drop thirty points on a weaker team and get away with a win, the upper-tier teams can always answer. Although there were times that CB Kevin King looked promising in 2017, they need a major upgrade at the position to begin thinking about slowing down top offenses.
It’s been reported that the Packers are likely to move on from either Jordy Nelson or Randall Cobb this offseason, and adding another young stud next to the newly wealthy Davante Adams can’t hurt. With that being said, this is a spot that I wouldn’t be surprised to see WR Calvin Ridley land. Even if Ridley is still on the board here, I still like to think the Packers go defensive back. It’s a position that they lack talent as well as depth.

This is where Josh Jackson comes in. Standing at 6-foot-1, 192 pounds, Jackson is an ideally-sized CB. He can match up with the big guys without getting overpowered. Talk about a ballhawk: Jackson had eighteen pass breakups and EIGHT interceptions in 2017. The guy just has a nose for the ball. He knows how to get himself into position to make plays. He will make any secondary better, and here, it’s Green Bay’s.
. Cornerback. Iowa. Josh Jackson
