1. Marlon Humphrey is going to be special

When Jimmy Smith went down, Humphrey became a starter opposite of Brandon Carr. Humphrey had some challenges. For example, he went back and forth with Marvin Jones against the Detroit Lions. Just when it looked like Jones had exploited a weakness in the Ravens pass defense, Humphrey figured it out and picked off a pass. Humphrey ended up with two interceptions and he showed that he could cover anybody.

Humphrey is going to be a starting cornerback for the Ravens no matter what. It may be pairing him with Brandon Carr until Smith returns, but Humphrey is going to get his time on the field. The Ravens are looking at a powerful combination of Smith on one side and Humphrey on the other. It looks like the Ravens have the chance to have two shut down corners; Smith just needs to stave off injuries.

The Baltimore Ravens are going to be better in the secondary than many experts may think. When healthy Smith is dominant. Humphrey looks like a younger version of Smith. Tavon Young coming back is going to be huge and Maruice Cannady is an impressive young cornerback in his own right. The biggest story in the Ravens secondary, was that Humphrey clearly backed up the Ravens logic. He was more than worthy of the 16th pick in the draft.
