4. Ronnie Stanley

Over the last three seasons, the Ravens organization has seen a piece of their offensive line take a big pay-day for other teams. Ricky Wagner went on to be the highest paid right tackle with the Lions. Kelechi Osemele at the time went on to be the highest paid guard for the Oakland Raiders. And this past offseason Ryan Jenson went on to be the highest paid center for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. When you buy a house, you have to make sure you get the right insurance to protect your investment. That’s what the offensive line is to the QB. And that’s where you enter Ronnie Stanley. The third year left tackle will certainly play a pivotal role in the Ravens success over the next five seasons. No matter who’s under center.

His first two seasons with the organization has shown he was worth the 6th overall pick in the 2016 NFL draft. Starting 27 games and being one of the more efficient pass blocking tackles in the NFL, Stanley has shown Harbaugh and the coaching staff he can be relied upon. Securing Stanley two years from now when his contract comes up will be one of the first important decisions Eric DeCosta will have to make in his tenure. With the amount of players they have lost on the line due to teams outbidding them, extending Stanley and making him one of the leaders should be one of the top tasks on the to do list for the front office two years from now.
