The Baltimore Ravens take on the Miami Dolphins in their second to last preseason game, and it’s going down tonight:

The Baltimore Ravens have dominated the Miami Dolphins in their past two regular season outings. Last year the Ravens won 40-0 against the Dolphins and in 2016, the won 38-6.

Baltimore will play Miami in the preseason for the second consecutive year. The Ravens won the 2017 exhibition game 31-7.

The Dolphins will treat this as a dress rehearsal to the regular season. Expect to see the Dolphins play their starters for at least the first half.

More from Ebony Bird

The Ravens won’t have Ronnie Stanley or James Hurst playing tonight. Marshal Yanda hasn’t played yet this preseason and Yanda will probably just wait for the regular season to get going. The Ravens have to at least consider not playing Joe Flacco and Alex Collins.

Hayden Hurst suffered a stress fracture in his foot and is out for 3-4 weeks. This gives players like Maxx Williams and Darren Waller a chance to show they belong on the 53 man roster.

  • The Ravens defense looks impressive this preseason. The Ravens defense has recorded 12 sacks and five interceptions so far.
  • The Dolphins defense is another story. They have only gotten four sacks in the games that don’t count.
  • While it’s only preseason it’s worth noting that the Dolphins rank near the bottom of just about every defensive statistic. They are 26th in points allowed per game, 31st in yards allowed per game and last in rushing yards allowed per game. The Ravens offense needs to look sharp tonight.
  • Tim Williams has been one of the top standouts on defense. Williams has notched two sacks and a forced fumble in the preseason and looks like a new player this year.

Ryan Tannehill has been efficient for the Dolphins going 18-23 for 132 yards in preseason play. The Dolphins passing game has been lackluster though. Tannehill goes into the game averaging just 5.7 yards per attempt. Bryce Petty is the only Dolphins quarterback to average over eight yards per pass.

The Ravens run defense is in for a test. Kenyon Barner leads the Dolphins in rushing and is averaging over seven yards per carry.
