The Bad:
The Ravens scored 14 points in the first quarter of the game. That’s great, but they failed to score another touchdown for the rest of the game. They settled for for Justin Tucker field goals beyond that. While that eventually led to a double-digit win, this could have been more of a convincing win. The Ravens extended their red zone success to 13 trips with a touchdown, but the streak fell apart after that. It was bound to happen, but the Ravens inability to put the Steelers away could have been problematic in this game.

The Ravens made the second quarter harder than it had to be, by allowing easy completions over the middle of the field. One play in particular got Vance McDonald rumbling down the field. The octave of the Steelers faithful was raised, and momentum swung heavily towards Pittsburgh. The Ravens had a hard time getting pressure on Roethlisberger. Tim Williams recorded the only sack for the Ravens, once the game was pretty much out of reach.
The Ravens had some really troubling dropped passes in this game. Flacco really could have had well over 400 yards in this game. The Ravens had some missed chances that kept the Steelers in the game. Remember, the Steelers didn’t come up with an answer for the Ravens offense. The Ravens offense slowed down themselves and it made this one interesting.
