1. The Ravens will humble Mayfield:

The Ravens defense is just as exciting as the Browns’ new quarterback. Mayfield is a rookie quarterback, going against a defense that just took down Ben Roethlisberger, Antonio Brown and JuJu Smith-Schuster. The Ravens are ready for anything the Browns have to throw at them. Baltimore’s pass defense has been incredible this season. The Ravens are allowing 193.6 yards through the air per game, which is fourth best in the NFL. Now the Ravens get Jimmy Smith back. That’s not good news for Mayfield.

Mayfield is the type of quarterback that the Ravens have traditionally struggled against. He is mobile, he can beat you in unconventional ways and he has the arm talent to do damage. It is very likely that the Browns will give their home field crowd something to be excited about early in the game. The Broncos scored 14 quick points and then stopped scoring. The Steelers did the same thing. It’s becoming a trend. Once Don Martindale figures out the formula of the week, the defense gives up next to nothing.

Baltimore should win this game because their defense is going to give an incredibly rough welcome to the NFL moment to a rookie quarterback. Mayfield isn’t a typical rookie, but this test is to hard to handle. The purple and black should humble Mayfield in a way the Jets and Raiders couldn’t do.
