This is as big of a game as you can get for the Baltimore Ravens. Here are some game day bullet points for you:

Joe Flacco is doubtful to play in this game with a hip injury. It looks like Lamar Jackson will make his first start, but Robert Griffin III is in the mix as well.

  • Jackson hasn’t gotten to throw the football much this season. He is 7-12 for 87 yards and a touchdown this season, as a passer.
  • Jackson has been the Ravens most efficient ball carrier. He has averaged five yards per carry and his speed and natural running ability has been on display all year. If he is going to be successful he needs to be a dual threat at the quarterback position.

The Bengals beat the Ravens 34-23 in week 2. They got off to a 21-0 start and led wire to wire.

Cincinnati beating Baltimore is getting old. The Bengals have won nine of the last 11 games against the Ravens.

The biggest threat to the Ravens on the Bengals has always been A.J. Green, who has been ruled out of this game. That is a break for Baltimore.

It will be interesting to see what the Ravens do on the offensive line. James Hurst was out in the last game against the Steelers. Orlando Brown Jr. did a mostly good job in his place.

The Ravens defense is coming off two of the worst games they have ever had. The biggest problem is that the defense can’t get off the field. That has to change against the Bengals.

Last season the Ravens were one of the best teams at picking off passes. This year however they only have five interceptions and the team is -4 in the turnover ratio.

  • The Bengals could be a great opponent for Jackson to get his first start against. The Bengals are giving up the most passing yards allowed per game in the league.
  • Next. 3 Ravens who need to step up against the Bengals. dark

    • If the Ravens can’t run the ball against the Bengals then they just cannot run the football. The Bengals have one of the worst run defenses in football.
    • The Ravens are 4-5 and the Bengals are 5-4. Both teams are in the mix for the playoff race, but the playoff push has to start now.
