The Bad:

Despite dominating every single statistical aspect of the game, the Ravens strong start didn’t amount to many points. The Ravens squandered golden chances to put points on the scoreboard. The Ravens found themselves knocking on the door, four times in the first half. Guess how many points they ended up with by the halftime intermission? Six points. That’s it.

The Ravens gave their fans plenty to be excited about but the Chargers were still in the game. The Ravens gave themselves a chance, but their failure to put points on the scoreboard gave the Chargers a chance as well. The Ravens were in it until late in the fourth quarter despite being totally dominated.

The one knock on the defense in this game is that the dink and dunk passes were annoyingly successful. Justin Jackson had 47 receiving yards and Melvin Gordon had 13. C.J. Mosley had a few plays where his pass coverage. was a problem. On one play in particular Keenan Allen caught a pass which could have been denied, if Mosley just put his hands up.

The Ravens offense got derailed on several occasions because they got themselves behind schedule on third down. The Ravens also had some very questionable play-calling in the red zone. The offense made enough plays to win the game, but they went hot and then cold.
