2. C.J. Anderson, Running back (Los Angeles Rams)

C.J. Anderson may not be an unknown to the casual NFL fan (after all he is about to play in the NFC Championship game) but he isn’t the biggest name on the running back market. Anderson is currently in the resurgence of his career as the number two running back behind Todd Gurley. Anderson doesn’t provide defenses with any relief, he’s a punishing runner. Anderson is just 27 years old so the Ravens should be able to get a two or three seasons out of him. Secondly, Anderson should be fresh. He had just 67 carries in the 2018 regular season (though that was with three teams).

Anderson has now had three 100 yard performances with the Rams, including one last week in the playoffs. Against a good Cowboys defense, with good linebackers like Jaylon Smith and Leighton Vander Esch. Anderson ran the ball for 123 yards. Anderson had 23 carries and he showcased his physical running style for the entire football world. Anderson’s career looks to be back on track and the purple and black should be there for it.

The most important thing here is that Anderson is a perfect fit for the Ravens offense. Greg Roman loves downhill runners who can run in between the tackles. There was a reason Gus Edwards was so successful in this offense. Anderson and Edwards could be a very exciting combination. Adding Kenneth Dixon to the mix, that could be unfairly good.
