Zach Allen:

More from Ebony Bird

The Baltimore Ravens aren’t quite known for their defensive line getting sacks, but with their edge rushing depth chart getting depleted this off-season, now would be a good time to change that narrative. Insert Boston College’s Zach Allen.

Allen may not have had elite sack production with just 16.5 sacks in three seasons, he would still be the team’s top pass rusher on their defensive line. Allen has fantastic length and talent to push pockets back and be a driving force against the run. He is precisely what the Ravens like to add to their defensive line.

Right now, Baltimore has tons of depth at the position but no clear starters. Guys like Willie Henry, Chris Wormley, and Zach Sieler are the only guys in contention for starting reps. More depth and talent needs to be added, otherwise the team will have one more area of weakness to address before the 2019 season.

Adding Zach Allen would be an awesome pick if he is available in round three. Simply put, there’s too many needs and dots connecting for Baltimore to not pass on him.
