Lamar Jackson is a question mark for the Baltimore Ravens and that should make him a fantasy football steal:

In fantasy football, the run on quarterbacks doesn’t always start early. Running backs and wide receivers are the positions that should get swallowed up first. Lamar Jackson is a player that you can probably sweep up even after the run on quarterbacks begins. He could be one of the most underrated options for fantasy football.

Jackson may not have a lot of games where he throws for 300. The most yards he has thrown for in a game is 204. The thing that you have to remember about Jackson is that you can’t think of him like a traditional quarterback. He will always provide value with his running ability. He’s good for 50 or more yards on the ground in just about every game.

The passing numbers are going to go up. He may not be a player who has a monster day throwing the football but he should be able to hover over 200 passing yards consistently in his second season. A stat line of 200 passing yards, 60 rushing yards a passing touchdown and a rushing touchdown wouldn’t look too bad from a fantasy football perspective. That could be a fairly consistent output from Jackson.

What did the Ravens add this offseason? They added speedy pass catchers. What the Ravens did is they added players that can create yards after the catch. Jackson will have to do less of the work to create passing yards this season. A short pass to Marquise Brown could end up in the stats as a big play. Jackson could end up having big games of huge fantasy numbers.

Jackson could be your secret weapon in fantasy football. It may be less of a secret in local leagues with a lot of Ravens fans, but it’s not like he is a must have player in fantasy football. You can build a solid roster and then have him as the x-factor of your season. He is also a player that in daily fantasy football could be a great option against the right opponent.

Next. The Ravens have to prove themselves in 2019. dark

Potential is the scary word with Jackson. Even his biggest advocates will say it can go either way with him. In fantasy football, betting on him could pay off rather handsomely.
