2. A Defense worth being part of:

The Baltimore Ravens have the most talented secondary in the NFL; a point of which I am done debating. The Ravens secondary is loaded. Michael Pierce and Brandon Williams are strong forces on the defensive line. Matt Judon is one of the best young outside linebackers in the NFL. Jaylon Ferguson is a rookie with a lot of potential and Patrick Onwuasor could be entering a career defining moment as the leader of Don Martindale’s defense. Martindale proved to be one of the best defensive coordinators in the NFL last year.

More from Ravens News

The Ravens have a history of great defenses and last season the Ravens defense found it’s groove. The Ravens defense still has a chance to be dominant. Gerald McCoy should want to be a part of what is brewing in Baltimore. The Ravens defense has a chance to be a top 10 unit in the NFL, which is something that he wasn’t a part of with the Buccaneers. McCoy could go from an elite player from average to bad defenses to an high impact player on one of the best defenses in the league.

McCoy wants to go to a contender and the Ravens are exactly that. The Ravens won a Super Bowl with almost no offensive firepower in 2000. The team is completely different but no team knows more about leaning on a dominant defense than the Ravens. If Lamar Jackson and the offense can just take a step or two up from where they were last year, this team can make some noise. If McCoy signs a two or a three year deal with the Ravens he will be joining the team at the right time. A window for a Super Bowl may be opening up, it really depends on Jackson’s development. One thing is for sure, this defense is a defense he should want to play on.
