Goal number 2: 100 or more tackles

The mark of a good linebacker is the amount of tackles he can accumulate. The mark of a great linebacker is where he makes the tackles. With this in mind, Onwuasor has to be an aggressive downhill linebacker who leads the Ravens in tackles. 100 tackles was standard operations for Mosley and it has to be for Onwuasor as well.

More from Ebony Bird

Onwuasor has never had 100 tackles in a season, though he came close in 2017 with 90. He is a very instinctual linebacker who has a good feel for the game. This is the quality most attributable to his rise from an undrafted free agent to being a key member of the defense. Onwuasor has a nose for the football. If he reaches his full potential he could be a great linebacker. The Ravens may not have suffered too great of a loss when Mosley signed with the Jets. Onwuasor has the chance to be a similar player.

Onwuasor had 59 tackles in the 2018 season but you have to keep in mind he rotated with Kenny Young. Onwuasor is now going to move over one spot. He is the new Mosley and Young is filling his old position. 100 tackles is quite doable for number 48.
