6. Antoine Wesley

It sounds like Miles Boykin has been stealing the show in training camp. The Baltimore Ravens have high hopes for Boykin and for Marquise Brown. The Ravens Flock wants to see their draft investments pay off. Fans are going to be excited about these two players but they have roster spots locked up. Undrafted free agent, Antoine Wesley, now that’s a player who could surprise a stadium full of people.

Wesley is fighting for a roster spot at the most competitive position the Ravens have on the offensive side of the football. Most of the receiver jobs are already earned and Wesley is fighting to be one of the last receivers on the depth chart. This is the kind of player that preseason was made for. He’s a 6’4″ receiver who had 88 receptions and nine touchdowns last year at Texas Tech. His size will give him an edge against backup defensive backs and a chance to make a name for himself.

Wesley is a potential diamond in the rough. If Wesley is better than his undrafted status would suggest, he will show that in exhibition games. Wesley has a big body and the ability to go up and get the football. He has the skill set that leads to eye-opening plays. This could create quite the buzz for an organization that has such a glowing memory of Anquan Boldin.
