2. Lots of good defense on display:

More from Ebony Bird

The Ravens defense saw what they wanted to see early and often. Tyus Bowser and Tim Williams both looked good coming off the edge. Kenny Young had a sack on on Gardner Minshew that knocked his helmet off. Young came flying through the line of scrimmage untouched and delivered the best shot of the night. Going into the game one goal I thought the Ravens needed to have was to find every bit of pass rush they can find. They got four sacks in this game. It’s an early sample and the full set of starters weren’t in the game at any point. It’s a decent start considering the pass rush department is the one thing everyone is worried about.

Chris Wormley was impressive as well with a tackle in the backfield after dominating the offensive lineman in front of him. Jaylon Ferguson had some good moments in the second half. He didn’t have a sack but he was the reason Pat Ricard got one.

The secondary lived up to the billing throughout the contest. Anthony Averett’s tight coverage held up under the new pass interference penalty and Cyrus Jones had a pick-six. Bennet Jackson had an interception in garbage time of the 29-0 contest. The Ravens talent shone through the entire depth chart. It was exactly what we expected and it’s what we got.
