7. Justice Hill

While Hill got stopped quickly on a couple of plays, everything you wanted to see was there in his performance. Hill had two grabs for 16 yards and he showed that he could be a dangerous weapon out of the backfield. He had 33 yards on 10 rushing attempts.

It’s important to remember that the offensive line he was working with wasn’t always doing a great job opening rushing lanes. When he had some daylight he made play on the ground. It is an encouraging first step for Hill. The traits that made him such an intriguing fourth round pick were visible on the field. The Ravens probably got that pick right.

6. Lamar Jackson

Jackson opened the game up with a throw on the rope to Chris Moore. He threw it accurately and allowed Moore to scamper for a nice chunk of yards. Jackson led two drives that both ended with a score. It wasn’t perfect but it certainly wasn’t bad. Jackson seemed to be comfortable in the offense. He was in command and the offense looked like it had a plan. It’s not going to silence his doubters, but Jackson didn’t give them any ammunition last night. If you are a Jackson fan, you have to be pleased with his first in game action of 2019.

5. Miles Boykin

Boykin had a couple of tough catches he didn’t come up with, but remember they were against tight coverage. Boykin had several great moments in this game. The best moment may have been a short completion in which he muscled his way for the extra yards that gave Baltimore a first down. Boykin beat a cornerback badly and scored a touchdown that was called back, due to a penalty on the offensive line.

4. Tyus Bowser

Bowser won his battles off the edge early in the game. He looked more explosive than we’ve ever seen him. Honestly he looked like a man on a mission. Bowser ended up with a tackle and half of a sack in a limited amount of playing time. He gave Baltimore a little teaser of what could be on the way this season. It felt like Bowser would have had big numbers if the Ravens left him in longer.
