Patrick Ricard

Ricard was productive all over the field tonight. The dual threat big man showed how he can disrupt an offense on the defensive line. He also throws blocks and picks up first downs on the offensive side, as the fullback. Ricard found himself in Green Bay’s backfield multiple times tonight, closing run lanes faster than they could develop. While he only finished with a single tackle, Ricard forced runners to change direction, giving the rest of the Ravens defense time to corral the ball carrier.

Ricard also recovered his own forced fumble to begin the second half planting the Ravens offense deep in Green Bay territory. Two plays later, Ricard made the block that allowed Justice Hill to get around the edge for a touchdown. Ricard built on an impressive training camp tonight showing that he is capable of being a productive player on both sides of the field.

Ricard provides solid defensive line depth, with the ability to stop the run and get to the quarterback at times. He has also proven to be a solid fullback placing lead blocks, creating holes for the running back crew, and picking up some first downs of his own. Ricard will be a vital piece of this team, as he was tonight, which is why he receives a game ball.
