The Baltimore Ravens beat the Washington Redskins and extended their preseason winning streak. It was a win for the team but what counts is the players who helped themselves in their final chance to make an impression in the preseason. These players helped themselves:

 Jaleel Scott:

Jaleel Scott made the most exciting plays in the Baltimore Ravens final preseason game of 2019. Scott had five receptions for 78 yards and a touchdown. He showed his big play ability and he picked up over 15 yards per reception. Scott had a great preseason. He made a very good argument with his play, that he belongs on the 53 man roster.

The Ravens didn’t play their starters and many of the go to play-makers of the preseason weren’t involved in this game. Players like Justice Hill and Chris Moore didn’t get to steal the show. The Ravens gave Scott the chance to steal the spotlight and he did just that. The most important thing that Scott did was make the highlight reel plays. The bottom line however is that Scott has been dependable when his number is called. When the ball was thrown his way, he caught the ball.

One thing that helped Scott was that another player had a missed opportunity. Joe Callahan extended a play in the second half and launched a shot down the field to Antoine Wesley. Wesley did everything right on the play except for catching the ball. Scott had a great performance and Wesley had a key drop. Scott controlled what he could control and saw his main competition literally drop the ball.
