2. It’s not Lamar Jackson’s fault:

Lamar Jackson was actually the most exciting player on the football field, at least for the Ravens. He had a good game considering that his offensive line let him down and there was lots of blame to go around on the offense. It wasn’t Jackson’s fault that Chris Moore had no awareness of where he was and landed out of bounds when he was wide open. It wasn’t Jackson’s fault that Marquise Brown and Mark Andrews both had a drop. It certainly wasn’t his fault that the Ravens strayed from the running game (that was rolling) and had a horrible game plan.

Jackson only had 10 incompletions. He had two interceptions however they were interceptions it’s hard to lose your cool over. The first pick was a deep shot that didn’t go his way, at a moment of desperation for the team. The second pick basically happened because the offensive line put him in a horrible situation. You can argue that Jackson’s stats got picked up in garbage time however I could argue that if Moore was a better receiver and Brown and Andrews don’t have drops, he could have had a 300 yard performance. Nothing went right around him and he had 247 yards and three touchdowns as a passer. You can’t be mad at that.

Jackson made things happen. He kept more than one drive alive eluding what would have been a sack for any other quarterback. He contributed 66 yards on the ground. He had a total of 313 yards of production. He had a few bad throws. He wasn’t perfect. He also wasn’t the reason the Ravens lost this game. The Ravens should have let him take more chances down the field. Jackson was one Raven who came to work on Sunday.
