Three concerns for Baltimore Ravens in match-up with Pittsburgh Steelers
By Darin McCann
It’s a rivalry game:
We’ve seen Ryan Mallett beat a good Pittsburgh Steelers team. We’ve watched Charlie Batch top a good Baltimore Ravens team. All bets are off when these two rivals take to the field, and a road game in Pittsburgh comes with challenges from every direction.

Those obnoxious little towels are going to be waving throughout the game, Renegade will be blasting from the speakers and some very good players are still on that Steelers team. Some very good players, mind you, who don’t like that team in purple and black.
I am not a huge fan of Steelers coach Mike Tomlin, but he does have an ability to get the Steelers ready to play in big games, particularly big games at home. Emotions will be flying for this back-against-the-wall Steelers team, especially after their Monday night win over the Bengals appears to have breathed some life back into the team and fans. Tomlin knows how to tap into those emotions.
The Ravens can not afford to fall behind early against this team, in that environment, with a young squad. We watched things go off the rails very quickly in that third quarter against Cleveland, and that was at home. Things tend to fall apart even faster on the road.
