2. Matt Judon:

Matt Judon played the best game of his career against the Texans. He had seven tackles, two sacks and a forced fumble. He led the charge for the defense. Judon has won me over. I was tentative about the idea of him getting a big contract, yet he has become a leader of this defense. Judon has turned it up to a level that makes him incredibly valuable. Just like Terrell Suggs did for years, Judon gets held all the time and it barely gets called. He’s hard to deal with on the edge and the pass rush stepped up when he started to find his groove. Judon better get paid this offseason and it better be by the Ravens. He’s gotten me to that line of thinking.

Judon was a problem for the Texans. He dominated off the edge. He stopped the run. He was a force in this game. Judon is responsible for a lot of people losing their voice because he made the plays that got M&T Bank Stadium the loudest. Judon showed that he was one of the most explosive outside linebackers in the league.

The Ravens had seven sacks in this game. It all started with Judon being a disruptive force. Judon was the key. Don Martindale was going to bring pressure on Watson either way. Judon winning up front allowed Tyus Bowser more chances to win off the edge. Then when the Ravens brought blitzes the Texans were completely outmatched. Martindale does a great job of creatively getting pressure on quarterbacks so when his edge rushers win the battle it takes the defense to the next level.
