Garrett Ferguson makes his pick:

An unstoppable force meets and immovable object this Sunday as the Baltimore Ravens and San Francisco 49ers clash for one of the best games of the year. The forecast is calling for extremely wet conditions as there’s 100% chance of rain for the duration of the game so it’ll be interesting to see how both teams adapt. Can the Ravens offense perform in wet conditions? Can the 49ers defense rush the passer with loose footing? The expected rain is making this game extremely unpredictable and I can’t wait to see how it unfolds.

The 49ers have a ferocious front seven led by 4 former first round picks so the offensive line is really going to be tested. If the Ravens can hold back this niners front seven then there’s reason to believe no one in the league can stop this offense. The 49ers have the leagues 19th ranked run defense while the Ravens have the leagues best running offense so if there’s a key to the game it’s the run game, especially in rainy conditions.

More from Ebony Bird

If Lamar Jackson and co. are able to keep their footing and run the ball then I expect the Ravens to come out with the win because there’s no way the defense can stop this run game when it’s running on all cylinders (pun intended).

On the defensive side of the ball, the Ravens have to figure out a way to limit tight end George Kittle and I say “limit” because I don’t think anyone can completely shut him out. In my opinion, Kittle is the best tight end in the NFL and has Gronk-like qualities. If I were Wink Martindale I’d put either Jimmy Smith or Marlon Humphrey on Kittle because they’re the only players I think can keep up with his speed and physicality.

I fully expect this game to be a blood bath because both teams need the win to keep their first round bye’s in the playoffs, especially San Francisco because with a loss they’ll move to the wild card spot.

Bold Prediction: Lamar Jackson will rush for 150+ yards and Mark Ingram will have 100+.

Score Prediction: 27-24, Ravens.
