Baltimore Ravens vs. New York Jets: 3 TNF predictions
2. Sam Darnold has a rough day:
The Baltimore Ravens have bullied quarterbacks this season. Two weeks in a row, the Ravens haven’t allowed a quarterback to reach 200 yards passing. The Ravens have gotten at least one turnover from Tom Brady, Russell Wilson and Deshaun Watson. The Ravens have the ninth ranked passing defense. Earlier in the season the Ravens passing defense was horrible. Ever since the Marcus Peters trade, the secondary has been dominant. The defense is playing at a high level against elite quarterbacks. Sam Darnold is not an elite quarterback.

Turnovers have been a problem for Darnold. In two seasons in the NFL he has 26 interceptions. The Jets have the 30th ranked passing offense in the league. The Ravens game plan is going to be to make the Jets one dimensional. If Le’Veon Bell and does not beat Baltimore on the ground, Darnold is in for a very bad day. The bad news for the Jets is that they rank 31st against the run. The Ravens defense has a huge advantage in this match up. This is a game that could get ugly for the Jets.
The Ravens pass rush has been much better in the second half of the season. Turnovers have been a huge part of the nine game winning streak. When you put all the information together you can see a scary equation for the Jets. The Ravens defense should be able to get the job done against Darnold and the Jets.
