Tennessee Titans vs. New England Patriots:

Ryan Tannehill has provided the Tennessee Titans with the offense they always were hoping they would get from Marcus Mariota. Tannehill is getting his second chance with the Titans and the Patriots are very familiar with him from his days with the Miami Dolphins. Speaking of the Dolphins, they just beat the Patriots and forced New England to host a game in the first round of the playoffs. Will the Patriots lose back to back home games to see their season end? Is this a potential end to the dynasty? There is doubt in New England that is new. The Titans have a new surge of hope as they won five of their last eight games to get in the postseason. When the Titans beat the Chiefs in November, they showed they were for real.

The Patriots started the season out with an 8-0 record. When they ran into the Baltimore Ravens, they got their first loss. Since that moment, the Patriots have been in a struggle. They won tight games against the Philadelphia Eagles, Dallas Cowboys, and Bills. They lost to the Texans, Chiefs and the Dolphins. They have an opportunistic defense and maybe the greatest coach and quarterback combination in NFL history, yet this team doesn’t feel quite right. The offense has had some real up and downs.

Prediction:

While the narratives going into this game say that the Patriots could be in trouble, I think they will pull this one off. The idea of the Patriots losing two straight home games and being eliminated this early seems hard to believe. The Patriots defense is beatable yet they are still one of the best units in football. Give me the Patriots to hold off the Titans 24-17 with the help of a couple of turnovers or special teams plays. The Patriots demise is such a tempting thing to believe in, it just seems too perfect. The Patriots are going to remind you that they’re the Patriots.
