The take home point:

The Ravens offense promised revolution and they kind of brought it. From a tight end perspective, what they brought to the table is unlike anything the rest of the NFL has seen. There are teams with two good tight ends. There are no teams with three tight ends as capable and versatile as the Ravens. The Ravens may change the way teams think about the tight end position. It’s not just about having the big pass catcher. For the Ravens it’s about having three players (that cost almost nothing at the moment) who can do everything.

While the tight ends have been amazing, the Ravens have to become less dependent on them in the passing attack. Tight ends made up 47 percent of Lamar Jackson‘s completed passes. The tight ends deserve a pat on the back for carrying the passing attack. Other than Marquise Brown the Ravens didn’t have much in terms of difference making talent at the wide receiver position. Getting better at the wide receiver position will make the Ravens a more balanced and spread out attack.

The tight end trio isn’t going anywhere. It’s coming back for another remarkable season. Imagine having three good receivers to go with these three special tight ends. The diverse skill set the Ravens could collect in the passing game could make them very hard to cover. They could have a receiving threat for everything if they upgrade at wide receiver. The tight ends will continue to be key in 2020. The Ravens are making the tight end position their calling card.
