2. Marquise Brown will have 1,000 yards receiving:

Marquise Brown is going to have a big second season. The first reason is that he will presumably be going into the season at full strength, something he may never have been in the 2019 season, because of his Lisfranc injury. Secondly, the Ravens will add a weapon or two the offense making defenses less able to focus so much attention on him. Brown had seven receptions for 126 yards in the playoff game. It was an eye opener, even on a night for the team. It showed us that he was capable of putting up monster numbers in any given game. The more confidence he gets, and the more confidence Lamar Jackson has in him, the more numbers he is going to be able to put up.

Brown is essentially the Ravens version of Tyreek Hill. In Hill’s first season he had 61 receptions for 593 yards and six touchdowns. That sounds a lot like Brown’s 46 receptions for 584 yards and seven touchdowns. In Hill’s second season his numbers skyrocketed. Hill had 75 grabs for 1,183 yards and seven touchdowns. With Hill and Brown being the same kind of player, you could easily see Brown’s career going on the same kind of trajectory. Hill being the supersonic star that he is probably inspired Eric DeCosta and the Ravens to take the chance on Brown.

People forget how big of a jump it is from College Football to the NFL. Brown had as good of a rookie year as we could have expected him to have. If the Ravens improve the overall talent they have at wide receiver, it can only benefit Brown. He showed us what we needed to see for us to be confident in him having a phenomenal second year. If the offense takes the next step, Brown will take the next step right there with him.
