It’s NFL Draft week! Cesar Ruiz is a player that is a real option for the Baltimore Ravens with the 28th pick. Let’s look at some interior offensive linemen that may be alternatives if the Ravens want to go elsewhere in the first round:

Cesar Ruiz would be a very safe pick for the Baltimore Ravens. He could play center or guard and he’s one of the better technicians when it comes to offensive linemen in this draft. In fact one of the first things I noted when looking at his tape was how good his form was. He’s an NFL ready option that has to be on the table if he’s on the board.

I’m an NFL Draft nerd. I watch these prospects and take notes.  I have two notebooks, one for offensive players, one for defensive players. I have built a big board every year since 2013. While it’s not my day job, it is my longest running hobby and an area I feel more confident in every single year. Now that I’ve done most of the work to get ready for the NFL Draft, I guess it’s book report time. Here are 10 alternatives to Ruiz in order of which they appear on my personal big board. I’m using my notes and giving you a much more put together look at what I found for each prospect without having to deal with my somewhat messy handwriting.

Logan Sternberg (Kentucky)

Sternberg is a player that I have taken in a mock draft for the Ravens already. He is one of the most underrated players in the draft in my opinion. He ranks 41st on my personal big board. If the Ravens can land him in the second or the third round it’s great value. Sternberg is perfect for the Ravens offense because he can reach all the creative blocks Greg Roman has in store for him.

Tyler Biadasz (Wisconsin)

This is a high effort player from a school that churns out offensive linemen. He’s a good athlete with pretty solid power as a run blocker. He ranks 50th on my personal board. With such a deep offensive tackle class, I think quality interior offensive linemen can fall to the third round. If the Ravens can land Biadasz in the second round it’s great value. In the third round it’s an absolute steal.
