The 2020 NFL Draft has come to its conclusion and the Baltimore Ravens had themselves quite a haul. The Ebony Bird team discusses its favorite picks.

The Baltimore Ravens made a lot of selections in the 2020 NFL Draft, ten to be exact, and the sporting world has been raving about the group. Headlined by first-round pick linebacker Patrick Queen, the Ravens have continued to add talent to a roster chuck full of it and hopefully put them over-the-top towards a Super Bowl title.

With so many picks, it’s only natural that we all have varying opinions on what our favorite selection was. All of us here at Ebony Bird sat down to discuss who our favorite pick was and why. Site-Expert Chris Schisler kicks us off with…

Chris Schisler: Patrick Queen

Patrick Queen was a top 20 talent that fell to the Ravens. He’s the best linebacker the Ravens have drafted for a long time, who I think will be even better than C.J. Mosley. He’s incredibly athletic and there’s nothing he can’t do at the inside linebacker position. The Ravens have set him up for success as well. The Ravens built up an incredible defensive line and now they have a linebacker with sideline to sideline speed. Queen is an all-around linebacker who will help them against the run and the pass.

The reason I love this pick is because you can see the plan coming together. I am convinced that this is the player the Ravens wanted the whole draft process. Everything the Ravens have done leading up to the draft, and what they did during the draft was all about front seven that is big, mean and athletic.

This is the pick the Ravens needed to become the Super Bowl LV champions. This is the missing element of the defense. Patrick Queen is going to be an absolute play-maker at the linebacker spot. Of all the first-round picks the Ravens have made in their history, Queen is the most set up for instant success. He’s joining an improved version of an already impressive defense. Queen was the pick that filled the biggest need for Baltimore. The tag team of L.J. Fort and Josh Bynes wasn’t cutting it. The Ravens needed to add some star power to the middle of their defense.

There isn’t a prospect with more going for him than Queen. Queen is going to be a player who goes to the Pro Bowl multiple times in his career. There aren’t many players who have made me this confident, this early. I would be absolutely shocked if Queen turned out to be anything but a phenomenal player for the Baltimore Ravens.
