Weeks 5-9

Week 5: Ravens vs. Cincinnati Bengals

Assuming the Ravens are facing Joe Burrow for the first time, this one could get interesting. At this point I have the Ravens undefeated and the Bengals have a better team than you’d expect a team that just had the number one pick to have. It’s a divisional opponent so it will be interesting. The Ravens will win in their first sloppy game of the season, because the Bengals have no answer for Jackson.

Way too early prediction: Ravens win 28-24

Week 6: Ravens @ Philadelphia Eagles

The Eagles are always a tough team and they have a chance to win their division for the second consecutive season. I had the Ravens scraping by the Bengals and avoiding a wake up call. The Ravens have to have a bad game somewhere. Doug Pederson gave the Ravens trouble in 2016 right before he turned things back around for the Eagles. If the Eagles converted on a two point conversion they would have beaten the Ravens. Look for Pederson to give the Ravens fits again, this time he may get the win.

Way too early prediction: Ravens lose 28-21

Week 7: Ravens vs. Pittsburgh Steelers

The Ravens haven’t lost to the Steelers since Lamar Jackson became the starting quarterback. The last time the Steelers played the Ravens, Robert Griffin III and the backups beat them in which was an almost meaningless game in week 17. The Steelers will want to get back on the winning side of this rivalry badly. Luckily for John Harbaugh and company, the two weeks leading up to the game in this hypothetical situation will have given the Ravens a moment to refocus. Ben Roethlisberger won’t be the same this year and the Steelers will struggle to keep up with Jackson.

Way too early prediction: Ravens win 42-10
