Ronnie Stanley:

Ronnie Stanley is one of the best, if not the best left tackle in football. Pro Football Focus has his past season graded at an 88.5 with a 93.3 score as a pass blocker. That is very good. In Madden 21, Ronnie Stanley is rated a 93 overall. Its universally accepted that Stanley is one of the best offensive linemen in the NFL. Last year the Houston Texans traded for Laremy Tunsil and they gave up two first round picks, a second round pick and Kenny Stills. If the Miami Dolphins can get all that out of Tunsil, the Ravens can get the same return on Stanley.

The left tackle position is a premium position and there are teams who are desperate on the offensive line. If a team thought they were a great left tackle away from having a shot at the Super Bowl, they’re calling the Ravens. Stanley is in line to get a huge deal from the Ravens. The Ravens could be in a position where they choose either to pay their left tackle, or get a huge haul in a trade for him.

Do I think the Ravens make this trade? No. They know that Stanley is a core building block and with them they have a shot at Super Bowl glory. Does it tempt DeCosta? It obviously has to. Trading Stanley would hurt, in the moment but it would have some benefits. It would allow the Ravens to more easily commit to their MVP quarterback, Marlon Humphrey, Matt Judon and Mark Andrews. While it makes that easier, Baltimore would have a chance to keep reloading in the NFL Draft. If they hit on most of their first round picks, it could create a big window for championships with Jackson and John Harbaugh. It has to at least be tempting.
