This is getting good

8) Ravens at Eagles Week 6

The Ravens head to Philadelphia to take on the Carson Wentz led Eagles presuming the oft-injured Wentz is upright for this contest. This game being outside of the division means that isn’t incredibly important for the Ravens but the other factors play this game to it’s ranking here.

The Eagles have been to the playoffs in three straight seasons and project to make the tournament once again so this will be a match up of two playoff teams (I think?). John Harbaugh will always have ties to Philadelphia so that’s a fun little nugget as well.

The Eagles grind it out style is a tough match up for the Ravens and this game projects to be the second or third most difficult game of the Ravens season. I am hoping the Ravens miss what would certainly be a raucous Philly faithful in this one.

7) Ravens vs Cowboys- Week 13

In what will be back-to-back Thursday games for the Ravens, they welcome “America’s Team” to Baltimore a Thursday night match up.  From a playoff perspective, this game will not impact the Ravens much as the Cowboys are out of the division.

But Dallas is freaking loaded on offense. And for those of you picking up football for the first time, so are the Ravens. Dak Prescott is one of the NFL’s most underrated quarterbacks. Amari Cooper, Michael Gallup, and CeeDee Lamb make up one of the league’s best wide receiver groups. Ezekiel Elliott is also a beast.

This is a star studded match up and a huge test for the Ravens defense. Plus it is in December at night and I am holding out hope fans will be there by then. Either way, get your popcorn ready!

6) Ravens at Patriots Week 10

Normally this would be a slam dunk top two or three match up but with Tom Brady tanning on a beach in Tampa, it loses its luster a bit. This game could still have some seeding implications down the line despite the fact that people are unsure of how New England projects this season.

On thing I am very sure of: Ravens fans can’t stand Bill Belichick or the Patriots. Yes Brady is gone, but the hatred is still there without question.

Cam Newton takes over at QB and seeing how he performs will be something worth watching. If he is still starting at this point in the season, I expect the Patriots to be in the hunt for the final AFC playoff spot in 2020.

5) Ravens vs Steelers Week 7

Can’t have a Ravens schedule power rankings without both Steelers games making an appearance in the top five.  A divisional clash with the most likely of second place finishers in the AFC North is extremely important.

Will we finally get to see Lamar Jackson go toe to toe with Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger? Something to monitor leading up that contest for sure and you can guarantee, whether he plays or not, Ben will be nursing an injury leading into the contest.

The Steelers are a middling group right now with an elite defense led by the dynamic duo of TJ Watt and Bud Dupree. Offensively they have a trio of strong wide receivers and James Conner still paces the running game. Their season will come down to the health of Big Ben.
