2. Patrick Queen will make the Pro Bowl as a rookie (But will play in the Super Bowl instead)

Okay, so I added a Super Bowl prediction as a bonus. Let’s say the Ravens take down the Saints to the tune of 38-31 in a game for the ages. Now let’s talk about why Patrick Queen has a chance to be a Pro Bowl recognized talent in his rookie season. The number one thing to think about with Queen is how he’s going to be everywhere. He has the sideline to sideline speed that the Ravens really haven’t seen since the days of a young Ray Lewis. He’s going to be a impact player in pass coverage, by blitzing and by snuffing out the run.

Will he be perfect? Absolutely not. There will be times where he’ll make the classic rookie mistakes. However, Queen is going to be a difference maker who will instantly be prolific. He plays the game at one speed and that will work out for him more than it doesn’t. It wouldn’t be shocking to see Queen have close to 100 tackles this season.

The ability of a young and hungry rookie that’s going to be on the field the majority of defensive snaps is not to be underestimated. You’re looking at a plug and play rookie. Queen isn’t a project. He’ll be solid in the season opener against the Cleveland Browns and he’ll keep getting better and better throughout the season. The Ravens are going to ask Queen not to just be a starter, but they’re going to thrust him into a leadership position from the word go.

The Ravens are expecting to have one of the best defensive units in the NFL. If the Ravens win their division for a third straight season and the defense is a top five unit, Queen is getting that Pro Bowl recognition. Queen was a huge part of the offseason plan. If the defense works the plan works.
