Tight end and wide receivers:

Tight end:

  1. Mark Andrews
  2. Nick Boyle

The Ravens were all about three tight ends in the offense last year, however they don’t have Hayden Hurst anymore. The tight ends behind Andrews and Boyle aren’t one of the best 53 man players. The Ravens will get more out of Patrick Ricard as an all around fullback, tight end and H-back then they will get out of Jerrell Adams or Eli Wolf. I think you’ll see more use of the wide receivers in the offense to make use of Devin Duvernay’s play-making ability, without hindering the production of Willie Snead. I also think we’re going to see Andrews get more time on the field leading to more balanced looks. The two tight end sets aren’t going away and Boyle adds a lot of value, especially to the running game as a blocker.

More from Ebony Bird

The main theme of my roster projection here is not having Baltimore force an answer here. Instead of putting a third tight end here just to do it, I’m preserving a roster spot for somebody else. If the Ravens were to put Adams or Wolf on the roster they would be the player they would cut when they need to make a mid season roster move. The Ravens should keep two tight ends with Wolf being one of the practice squad players they could call up with their extra roster spaces. More on that in a bit…

Wide receiver:

  1. Marquise Brown
  2. Miles Boykin
  3. Willie Snead
  4. Devin Duvernay
  5. James Proche
  6. Chris Moore

As the loudest member of the Jaleel Scott fan club, this one wasn’t easy for me. It’s one of those things where I just know he’s not going to make the cut and there’s no point in pretending otherwise. Chris Moore gets the last wide receiver spot because of special teams. If the Ravens stay healthy at this position the status quo is kind of established. Marquise Brown is the star. Miles Boykin is the other outside receiver. Devin Duvernay will be the fourth receiver and will take some snaps away from Willie Snead in the slot receiver role. James Proche starts at punt returner and doesn’t get too involved with the offense.
