Tight ends and the offensive and defensive linemen

Tight end: Even

Most people would probably give a slight edge to the Chiefs. Travis Kelce has been incredibly productive and can justifiably be considered the best tight end in the league. The thing is that Andrews is a special player as well. If Kelce has an edge because he’s put up monster numbers since 2014, that’s fine. It’s not a big edge. Nick Boyle being the best blocking tight end in the NFL makes up that difference.

Offensive line: Ravens

This may actually be the biggest questionable position for both teams. The Chiefs offensive line struggled in a big way against the Los Angeles Chargers, while the Ravens have seen uneven performances up front. The Ravens just have way more talent here. Ronnie Stanley is significantly better than Eric Fisher, while Orlando Brown Jr. is better than Mitchell Schwartz. The Chiefs have answers to find on the inside as the Ravens. For example, is Kelechi Osemele really back and can the often banged up guard keep it going all season? Do the Chiefs have the right answer at center? When it comes to the Ravens and the offensive line I trust the pieces to come together and perform well. We saw them do it last year. Even without Marshal Yanda, they got this.

Defensive line: Chiefs

Frank Clark and Chris Jones are equally talented features of the Kansas City pass rush. The Chiefs defensive line has been incredibly impressive so far this season. That’s two superstars for the defensive line, one off the edge and one in the inside. The Ravens have Calais Campbell, who is a superstar in his own right. While Brandon Williams and Derek Wolfe are good, the Chiefs have seen more impact from their defensive line early in the season.

They have two players that you have to game plan for while having a very solid group around them. Don’t forget about Derrick Nnadi either. He can be a real force up front. Baltimore has a good defensive line yet the Chiefs base the whole selling point of their defensive philosophy on winning at the line of scrimmage. Advantage Kansas City.
