Take-home points from Baltimore Ravens win over Eagles

A few more things:
• Devin Duvernay had three targets today on offense, and caught all three passes for 31 yards. He also returned one kickoff for 37 yards. This guy makes plays every chance he gets. He needs more chances. Easy math, right?
• DeShon Elliott has played faster and more aggressive every week, it seems. He really does have the look of a play-maker in this defense. I have no idea if the Ravens have him in mind to start next season, but he is definitely earning himself a good look.
• Marcus Peters and Marlon Humphrey both made some plays today, and both got beaten on downfield throws. It happens. They’re both terrific players. The touchdown to Fulgham that went over both of them was completed by mere inches. Again, it happens. They’re not a concern on my radar even a little bit.
• The Ravens definitely stayed with the run more today, but it just wasn’t happening. The Eagles front is good. Don’t discount that mattering when you judge today’s run game. Gus Edwards and JK Dobbins combined for 54 yards on 23 carries. That’s not doing it, and they just didn’t seem to have much of a chance on most attempts.
• Patrick Queen was relatively quiet today, but I really don’t think he was bad or anything at first glance. I don’t remember cussing at him off the top of my head. He was one of the few today.
• Tyre Phillips made a great seal block on Lamar Jackson’s touchdown run. He also clearly missed a few blocks. This position is not yet solidified. The end-of-year starter might not even be on this roster right now.
• Let’s give some love here to Pernell McPhee, L.J. Fort, Nick Boyle and Sam Koch, who all had low-key nice games. Koch became the most-tenured Raven in history in terms of games played today, and gave up 20 yards on seven punts, with three finishing in the Eagle’s 20 yard line. McPhee and fort were both in on some big defensive stops, and Boyle looked like a lot of us were probably expecting to produce once Hayden Hurst left the team — grabbing three passes for 33 yards and the touchdown.
