On Monday, it appeared Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Julio Jones indicated that his playing time in Atlanta was over. In a phone call with co-host of “Undisputed” Shannon Sharpe, Jones said “I’m out of there, man,” in regards to continuing his career with the Falcons.

According to The Athletic’s Jeff Schultz, the Falcons “would like” to trade Jones. Whether it happens or not remains unclear. One team that has been closely tied to the seven-time Pro Bowl receiver is the Baltimore Ravens.

Jones, 32, is a valuable asset wherever he lands. If he played in Baltimore, the No. 1 receiver slot would almost certainly go to him. The veteran receiver is loved by many around the league, including Ravens fans.

In a poll conducted on Twitter, 57.3 percent of fans who responded apparently want the Ravens to trade for Jones.

Ravens fans apparently want Julio Jones in Baltimore

It’s no surprise that fans want to see Jones in a Ravens jersey. Baltimore ranked last in passing in 2020.

In order to help fix their passing woes, the Ravens have upgraded their offense throughout the course of the offseason.

The team signed wide receiver Sammy Watkins in free agency. The Ravens also drafted wide receiver Rashod Bateman in the first round of the 2021 NFL Draft and added Tylan Wallace in the fourth.

In order to protect quarterback Lamar Jackson and allow him time in the pocket to make a play, Baltimore signed guard Kevin Zeitler and offensive tackle Alejandro Villanueva.

While a trade for Jones is just part of the rumor mill, the Ravens have the tools to make some interesting trade packages that could land the star receiver in Baltimore.

Many fans in Baltimore will be happy to see that the Ravens (+700) have the fourth-best odds to land Jones according to DraftKings Sportsbook. Only the Falcons (-150), Indianapolis Colts (+500), and Los Angeles Chargers (+500) have better odds than Baltimore.

One thing remains clear throughout the Jones fiasco, the Ravens are looking for a true No. 1 receiver. If Baltimore lands Jones, expect the passing game to be drastically improved.
