5 teams that stand in the way of the Ravens Super Bowl hopes

2. The New England Patriots are a threat to the Ravens
Just when the NFL thought it was rid of the New England Patriots, they come back with a vengeance.
Through 13 weeks, the Patriots have the best record in the AFC following their grueling victory over the Bills on Monday Night Football. The more things change, the more they stay the same.
The Patriots have caught fire after a middling start winning their last seven games to improve to 9-4. And they haven’t shown any signs of slowing down.
At this point, it’s probably safe to say that the Patriots have the best defense in football. They’ve allowed a combined 36 points over their last five games for an average of 7.2 points per game.
That dominant defense has allowed them to steamroll opponents despite possessing a rather middle-of-the-pack offense led by efficient rookie quarterback Mac Jones.
Jones hasn’t been asked to do much, but he’s been efficient in helping the Patriots’ offense play competent football. That’s all you can really ask of a rookie QB.
Of course, this Patriots team has been there before. No, maybe not all of the players, but the coaching staff sure has. It’s important to never count out New England in the postseason.
They may not be flashy, but the Patriots have won seven straight for a reason. They win with their suffocating defense and by boring you to submission on offense.
They’re a real threat to return to the Super Bowl.
