6. The Ravens could trade Tyler Huntley to the Houston Texans

The Houston Texans are going to trade Deshaun Watson. It’s not a matter of if, it’s a matter of when. Is Davis Mills the guy they’re going to build around? Barring a late-season surge, it’s unlikely they put all their eggs in that basket.

But the Texans might still want to provide some competition for Mills. Perhaps that’s another quarterback in the draft. Perhaps it’s a veteran. Or perhaps they could call the Ravens about Huntley.

Houston could send the Ravens some draft capital for Huntley and bring him in to compete with Mills and perhaps a veteran.

It may not be the most flashy option, but it is something the Texans could consider.

5. The Ravens could trade Tyler Huntley to the Detroit Lions

The Detroit Lions are currently in competition for the No. 1 overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft, but even if they land the top pick, it’s highly unlikely they use it to address the quarterback position.

That being said, it’s unclear if the quarterback of the future is on the roster at the moment. Jared Goff will be with the team for at least another season before they could get out of his contract.

But that doesn’t mean the Lions can’t bring in some competition for Goff in the form of the young Huntley. Huntley would add a new element to that offense and provide some insurance in case Goff fails to live up to expectations in 2022.

If neither Goff nor Huntley works out, then you could look to address quarterback again in 2023.
