Ravens studs and duds from season-ending loss to Steelers

6. The Ravens pass-rush
Usually, this spot would be reserved for the offensive line. But Alejandro Villanueva and company only allowed three sacks on Huntley, and despite Bradley Bozeman’s unfortunate first-quarter turnover, the O-line did the best it could.
Instead, Baltimore’s defensive end unit could have been a bit more productive.
In Ben Roethlisberger’s last NFL game, the Ravens were supposed to give him hell. But Big Ben was sacked just once all game, and he was afforded too much time to throw.
Baltimore added two quarterback hits from Kevon Seymour and Pernell McPhee, but the team missed the rookie talents of Odafe Oweh, who once was playing at a DPOY level.
Calais Campbell and Tyus Bowser were the most productive pass-rushers in Week 18, recorded 12 total tackles and three tackles for loss. This could have been Campbell’s last game as a Raven, and it’s just shame the game had to end this way.
The Baltimore Ravens now look ahead to 2022 as they try to rebuild many position groups and get back into playoff contention.
Week 18’s loss stings, as it should. It was a long, painful fall from the top of the AFC North, but through adversity the team only grows stronger.
Of all the takeaways in 2021, the Ravens have perfected that special knack for making something out of nothing.
Expect them to return next season with a vengeance.
