4. Tyler Huntley, QB, Ravens

It wasn’t long ago that Tyler Huntley was little more than an undrafted quarterback competing for the third-string QB job behind Lamar Jackson and Robert Griffin III.

Fast-forward a little over a year and there was a legitimate conversation about which teams could trade for him after his standout performance in place of the injured Jackson this season.

Now, as the season came to a close, Huntley’s magic wore off a little and he proved that he’s probably not ready for a starting job. But that doesn’t take away from how much he’s improved.

Huntley was an undrafted QB out of Utah competing with former sixth-round pick Trace McSorley for the backup job this summer. The 23-year-old threw just five passes as a rookie and little was expected of him this year.

But he managed to beat out McSorley for the backup job, and when Jackson went down with a knee injury, he took advantage of his newfound playing time.

Huntley finished the year completing 65 percent of his passes and throwing for 1,081 yards, three touchdowns, and four interceptions while rushing for an additional 294 yards and two scores.

His strong play in back-to-back weeks nearly saw the Ravens beat the Cleveland Browns in Week 14 and upset the Green Bay Packers the following week even with Jackson out.

Huntley is probably no more than a high-end backup at this stage. But for a guy who wasn’t even a lock for the roster going into the year, that has to be considered some serious improvement.
