While the Baltimore Ravens weren’t very active in free agency, the depth signings and veteran moves by general manager Eric DeCosta and the front office improved the team. Unfortunately, these moves could put players from last season's team on bubble watch for 2025.

So, let’s look at three players who could be in danger of getting cut this upcoming season.

Three Ravens players clinging to a roster spot after initial 2025 free-agency wave

Jalyn Armour-Davis, CB

If there was any question about this being a make-or-break season for Jalyn Armour-Davis, the recent signing of Chidobe Awuzie amps the pressure to 100. The former Alabama cornerback has been dealt an unlucky hand with injuries during his tenure as a Raven, but when he has been healthy, he hasn’t been able to help his case for being a future asset to the roster.

Awuzie is also no stranger to injury woes, tearing his ACL in 2022 and suffering a groin injury during his 2024 campaign. However, he’s proved that he can still be effective on the outside, which could push Armour-Davis out the door. If the 25-year-old can’t prove that he can stay healthy and doesn’t progress, he could quickly find himself needing a new home. The battle between Armour-Davis and second-year pro T.J. Tampa could be one to watch.

David Ojabo , OLB

While nothing was done to add to the pass rush in free agency, this likely means Baltimore will draft a pass rusher with an early pick in April’s draft. Current outside linebackers David Ojabo and Adisa Isaac will likely be buried on the depth chart if the Ravens select a coveted pass rusher on night one. However, while Isaac didn’t have a chance to prove himself in his rookie season due to a nagging hamstring injury, Ojabo has had three years to try and show why the Ravens took a chance on him in the second round of the 2022 NFL Draft.

The first two seasons saw the former Michigan Wolverine play in just five games, but last season was a chance for Ojabo to break out. In 13 games, he tallied just two sacks and turned in a 55.1 grade per Pro Football Focus. The Achilles tear he suffered during his 2022 Pro Day has had a long-term impact on what he once was at Michigan, and while there could still be a glimmer of hope, time is running out on the 24-year-old.

Devontez Walker, WR

While this could be a long shot, recent signings and the way Baltimore approaches the draft could make the need for Tez Walker to showcase his talents more urgent. When the Ravens selected Walker with the 13th pick in the fourth round of the 2024 NFL Draft, it seemed like a classic Baltimore draft heist.

The value at the time seemed too good to pass up. Last season, however, Walker hauled in just one pass on three targets. While that one reception resulted in a 21-yard touchdown, he played just 20 offensive snaps throughout the regular season and just two snaps in the playoffs. Veteran receiver Anthony Miller saw more time in the playoffs and seemed to gain more trust in the offense.

The signing of DeAndre Hopkins could push Walker out of the equation. After signing a one-year contract, Baltimore has their go-to jump ball guy at wide receiver for this upcoming season. While Walker could still be the long-term solution for the Ravens’ need for a physical receiver and could learn from Hopkins, the variety of options at wide receiver and tight end could make the North Carolina product an afterthought.

As the offseason continues, there is still a load of other needs, and players will be brought in to fill out the rest of the roster. There’s no telling who else could be on the bubble in the coming months.
