3 bargain-bin free agents who can bolster Ravens' roster ahead of training camp

The Baltimore Ravens have transformed their team this offseason. Coming off a shockingly bad 2025 season, they corrected course with a coaching overhaul and major splashes in both free agency and the 2026 NFL Draft. While no one knows for sure how the Jesse Minter era will look, everything done and said in the past six months has instilled plenty of belief.

As teams near training camp, we can assume they’ll remain active on the market. Whether it’s bringing in competition for training camp or finding actual contributors late in the offseason, there’s still talent out there in free agency.

For the Ravens, these three players could be valuable additions. Not only would they be cheap, but they could also be fairly effective.

Baltimore Ravens could finish strong offseason with 3 bargain-bin free agents

Neville Hewitt

Veteran linebacker Neville Hewitt isn’t a flashy name by any means. In fact, when you talk about bargain-bin free agents, he might be one of the cheapest of any worthwhile player left available. However, he fits what the Ravens need at this stage.

Behind Roquan Smith, Baltimore has three young linebackers ready to contribute in 2026. There could be a need for another experienced player at that position, especially seeing how they didn’t really respond to losing Jake Hummel in free agency. The Hummel departure likely means more snaps for Higgins, but Hewitt’s 11 years in the NFL could be beneficial for the development of Teddye Buchanan, Trenton Simpson, and Higgins.

Hewitt is also someone who can play on special teams if he ends up making the 53-man roster. He was a reliable specialist, appearing in 15 games with the New York Giants in 2025. And in addition to being a massive part of special teams units over the past several years, he has made a wealth of appearances on the defensive side of the ball, including 48 career starts.

Jadeveon Clowney

This is an easy one. We’ve motioned for a Jadeveon Clowney reunion in Baltimore to happen all offseason, and as we sit in early July, he’s become a bargain that the Ravens can’t pass up on. The time is now to add the finishing touches to Jesse Minter’s pass rush unit.

Baltimore already addressed the pass rush by signing Trey Hendrickson and drafting Zion Young, but there’s room for one more contributor. Adisa Isaac hasn’t done anything to earn the final spot in the outside linebacker rotation. Clowney, though, has done everything there is to earn a spot.

Clowney found the Fountain of Youth in Charm City in 2023, tallying 9.5 career sacks, which tied a career-high. He’s continued that production over the past two seasons, most recently posting 8.5 sacks with the Dallas Cowboys. There’s reason to believe those kinds of results can hold up for at least one more season.

Late in the 2025 season, Clowney signed a one-year contract worth up to $6 million with the Cowboys. If he inks a similar deal ahead of 2026, that would certainly be a bargain, especially if he keeps putting up five-plus sacks as a rotational rusher. The Ravens need to be in on that.

Graham Glasgow

If there’s one hole that the Ravens still have, it’s center. It’s an overwhelming question that has still yet to be really addressed. Jovaughn Gwyn and Danny Pinter are fighting for the starting job, which is, to put it lightly, not exactly reassuring.

Graham Glasgow could be the guy to replace Tyler Linderbaum. He’s a versatile offensive lineman who has made 136 starts in his 10-year career. While 2025 was a bit rough for him at the center spot, the experience and reliability are still something that the Ravens could buy into.

For this move, it’d really be all about how Gwyn and Pinter perform in training camp. It’s an open competition, and it doesn’t sound like either has separated themselves at this point. Some reporters even believe that the Week 1 starter isn’t on the roster yet.

Maybe that starter is Glasgow? It’d certainly help to have an experienced center snapping the ball to Lamar Jackson. And when rookie Vega Ioane is starting at one guard spot, Baltimore might want some more stability rather than inexperience and uncertainty at center.
