Despite the Baltimore Ravens’ record of 1-5 through seven weeks of football, reports are signaling that the team could be a buyer at the trade deadline. Both their offense and defense have had countless problems in 2025, but after a somewhat encouraging showing in their Week 6 loss to the Los Angeles Rams, a turnaround could be coming.

The Ravens also have a favorable schedule the rest of the way. They have the ninth-easiest schedule in the NFL with 11 games remaining, per Tankathon. Head Coach John Harbaugh has mentioned several times that he still has a ton of hope for this year, and a bounce-back could be coming.

Still, they will need various players to step up their game, and might need multiple trades to become serious playoff contenders in the second half of the season. Here are three potential trade targets that could make some sense for Baltimore.

3 trade options for Ravens to target

Jaelan Phillips

Miami Dolphins outside linebacker Jaelan Phillips is an obvious trade target for any team with playoff hopes in 2025. The Dolphins lost to the Cleveland Browns in Week 7, moving them to 1-6. It is clearly a lost season, and they should look to capitalize on the unfortunate circumstances by trading some of their talent.

Phillips is in the last year of his deal and will likely find a new home in the 2026 offseason. The Dolphins need to get value for a player while they still can, and the Ravens are desperate for pass-rush help. While Phillips only has one sack this season, he has registered an 80.1 pass rush grade, per Pro Football Focus (PFF), which ranks 16th among edge defenders.

While the pressures are up, the sacks have not followed. He is still a strong contributor, but his trade value should not be too high. An early day three pick or two could get it done for Baltimore.

Calais Campbell

After losing defensive tackle Nnamdi Madubuike for the season and fellow interior defensive lineman Broderick Washington Jr. still on injured reserve, the Ravens lack depth in the trenches on defense. Arizona Cardinals defensive lineman Calais Campbell could be the perfect piece for Baltimore to target.

Although he is 39 years old, Campbell is proving that age is just a number. He has been extremely effective in his return to Arizona in 2025, and with the Cardinals sitting at 2-5, they might be sellers.

Campbell has three sacks this season and a PFF grade of 74.7, ranking 23rd among defensive linemen. He ranks above average as a pass rusher and run stopper, helping two areas where Baltimore’s defense has struggled. Due to his age, it is likely General Manager Eric DeCosta could get a deal done to bring back Campbell for a late-round pick or a pick swap.

Chase Young

New Orleans Saints pass rusher Chase Young could be another answer to the Ravens’ pressure issues. After dominating at Ohio State, Young’s NFL career has been underwhelming, but he has been putting up solid numbers in New Orleans. After returning from a calf injury in recent weeks, Young has gotten off to a hot start in 2025.

Through two games, Young has registered an 85.1 PFF grade and has 0.5 sacks. He has dealt with injuries throughout his career, but when he is healthy, he can be an effective asset off the edge.

During the 2023 deadline, multiple outlets reported that DeCosta was in on Young before the San Francisco 49ers traded for him. Now, he is signed to a three-year $51 million contract with the Saints, giving any team that potentially pulls off a trade for him some contract stability. That could also drive up the price, but given Baltimore’s pass rush outlook both now and moving forward, Young could be a serious option.

The Ravens obviously need offensive line help, too, but NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport has reported DeCosta has been asking around the league for defensive help. With that in mind, these three names could make some sense.
