The Baltimore Ravens have a ton to think about in the upcoming offseason. After missing the playoffs due to a 26-24 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 18, rumors are already starting to swirl about the team’s future.
While many of their pending free agents need to be retained, the most pressing questions in Baltimore surround the coaching staff. They simply need a change there after an underwhelming 2025 campaign.
Whether it’s been about Head Coach John Harbaugh or the coordinators, it feels like no Ravens coach is guaranteed to stick around next season. Many fans believe Harbaugh and Defensive Coordinator Zach Orr should be shown the door, but it appears Offensive Coordinator Todd Monken is becoming the most likely coach to find a new home in 2026.
In Monken’s case, his departure could come by finding a head coaching gig during this coaching cycle. On Tuesday, NFL Insider Ian Rapoport reported that Monken received a request to be interviewed for a head coaching job. The team? An AFC North rival, the Cleveland Browns.

This report comes just a day after Josina Anderson reported that sources believe changes are coming at Baltimore’s coordinator positions.

Todd Monken receives an interview request from the Browns
It seems like Monken is quickly becoming a hot name in the head coaching search. That goes for not just the NFL, but at the collegiate level, too. He was interviewed for the Michigan opening last month.
Can confirm that Browns requested permission to interview Ravens OC Todd Monken for HC vacancy, as @Rapsheet first reported.

Monken also interviewed last month for Michigan HC job that went to Kyle Whittingham.
Monken will have options regardless of how things play out in Balt.
While the Browns have been a disaster in the past few seasons, there is reason to believe Monken would be interested. Not only would he be receiving a promotion, but he’d be returning to a franchise for which he was the offensive coordinator in 2019.
Cleveland also sports one of the best defenses in the NFL under Jim Schwartz, and adding an offensive guru in Todd Monken could be a match made in heaven. The Browns’ young offensive trio of Shedeur Sanders, Quinshon Judkins, and Harold Fannin Jr. could make them all the more of a threat to pry Monken away from Baltimore.
If Monken does leave for one of the vacant head coaching jobs, it would make the Ravens' offseason a lot more troubling. From a fan’s perspective, the coaching staff already needs significant change, but it doesn’t sound like Monken should be one of those changes. He's probably the most consistent among him, Harbaugh, and Orr. If he leaves, there would be way more uncertainty surrounding this team moving forward.
